Someone else feels it too.
This boy is wonderful
Him: I want to make you breakfast some time.
Me: No objections.
[several hours pass]
Him: What are your favorite foods?
Me: Hmm…vegetables? Hahaha. And I love papusas. What about you?
Him: You are a vegetable. Is a papusa anything like a putang?
He makes me laugh so much.

‘We have to make America the best place on earth to do business.’ -President Obama
Sometimes I can’t help wondering if Obama’s secret goal is to turn America into one giant Disneyworld.
I don't know what I'm doing
But tonight felt right.

‘Why are you so nice to me?’
‘Because I like you.’
‘So?’
‘So?’ He laughed.
Silence.
‘Sometimes I wonder the same thing — why are you so nice to me?’
‘I’m not very nice at all.’

Girl who is allergic to barley says YES PLEASE list ingredients. Would prevent a lot of accidental allergic reactions, yuck.
What’s with this paralysing sense of insecurity lately? Thought I was done with that. I did really well for about a year there.
This is some bullshit.

Last week, California’s Supreme Court reached a controversial 5-2 decision in People v. Diaz, holding that police officers may lawfully search mobile phones found on arrested individuals’ persons without first obtaining a search warrant. The court reasoned that mobile phones, like cigarette packs and wallets, fall under the search incident to arrest exception to the Fourth Amendment to...
Maturing
I woke up drowning in your bed, cold and afraid. I couldn’t find you; I didn’t know what I’d done wrong. Half-asleep, I was sure you’d left for good.
Pro:
I’m learning how to step outside of myself and analyse my own behaviours, thoughts and reactions. For the first time, I understand why I do so many of the strange/stupid things I do.
Con:
I’m learning...

Remember that time I built a bicycle?
And then it sat in a storage unit indefinitely.
He’s tried to make me take it several times, but I told him I won’t until he lets me pay him for it. I couldn’t uphold my end of our deal on it because our friendship fell apart.
Honestly, though…even if he gave me a reasonable price for it (all he’ll say is, ‘Fine, then just give me five bucks.’), I can’t take that bike. I don’t want to look at...

But there are these dreams, these huge, empty...
The show ended and we spilled out near the Aquarium with thousands of other twenty-somethings, hearts pounding and exhausted from hours of music that summarized our collective Growing Up. Thousands of kids (adults?) from across the country, but for those two hours we were all the same, and we were wildly in love with music, life, each other.
‘Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates...

(500) Days of Summer
One of my best friends and I shared our virgin (500) Days of Summer viewing over Thanksgiving weekend. The experience, mostly a particular quote, came up in conversation tonight.
Bestie: I’m so glad we were both at a place where the movie wasn’t particularly depressing. when apparently it was to everyone else who ever saw it. hahaha

It’s scary to admit how good it felt to wake up to you: early morning sunlight warming my face through your curtain-less window, bare legs tangled beneath a heavy blanket, my dress crumpled on the wood floor.
It’s too cold to be alone.

You can't go home again
He lifted her with strong arms and set her precariously on the bathroom sink’s edge. The faucet scraped her lower back as she dazedly bobbled.
Then he was forcing himself on her and she was wide-awake and sober.
‘No. No, no, no.’ Meek whispers on the tail end of the loudest night.
Several months prior flashed past: ‘I’m not trying to sleep with you,...

What an interesting turn of events.
New year’s eve with co-workers was perhaps my best decision of 2010.
Started off the night with beer and watching Joe’s roommate play final fantasy. Threw in some interesting conversation about people we both know outside of work (oh Kansas City, you’re really so small) and The Glitch Mob. More boys showed up, I sat back and watched and...
